Digital X-Ray

X-Rays are a form of Electromagnetic radiation which are commonly used for to view images of the bones ( hard tissues)which can be checked for breaks or fractures and also for some soft tissue investigation, like looking for lung diseases etc. Dense bone absorbs much of radiation and hence appear white on X-Ray where as soft tissue such as muscle, fat and organs allows more radiation to pass through it and hence appear in shades of grey & air appear black.
